Hi, welcome to “Get Frank”.

Get Frank will see me, your host, Mitch McPherson, engage in candid conversations with familiar, and some not so familiar faces and names.

I believe in the power of storytelling, and how sharing stories of a life that has not always been easy might just help someone else out of a hole.

Profile or not, we are all human. We all have good days, bad days, and days in-between. “Get Frank” allows us to get to know people for who they really are. What makes them sing in the car on the way to work? What makes them scratch and shake their head? What drives them? What are they fearful of?

Join me on a journey to showcase that no matter who you are or where you come from, we all quite simply want to feel the very best we can each day.

So, let’s Get Frank!

Season 2 now available! Currently being powered by Jackson Volkswagen

For the very first episode of Get Frank we wanted our listeners to get a deeper insight and understanding of Mitch himself. In this episode, Mitch sits down and is interviewed by his good friend and ABC Radio Drive Host Lucy Braeden. This episode goes deeper than ever before, and not only touches on Mitch’s experience of a family member’s suicide 9 years ago but goes deep into the challenges he now faces working in the space of mental health and suicide prevention each and every day.

This episode is raw, honest and emotive. We hope you enjoy it!

Mitch sits down with James “Jimmy” Smith, one half of radio’s newest National weekend breakfast show Jimmy and Nath. Better known as “Jimmy”, James opens up on growing up in a small country town, but then heading to the big smoke to chase his dreams to be an entertainer. Jimmy’s story really is proof that when we think someone has “it all together”, we very much might be a long way off. Jimmy’s raw insight into his daily battles and challenges is an inspiring listen.
